kittenspeaks @ 12:25 pm: Local Film Friday
In case you haven't heard tonight is the second (and final) night of screenings for the 48 Hour Film Project at The Portage Theater.
What happens when you give 35 teams 48 hours to write, shoot, edit and submit a short film? Oh, and you assign them a genre randomly. And one more thing- you give them a prop, character and line that must be included in the film?
Well, it is the 48 Hour Film Project.
For a measly 10 bucks you can check out 16 of these super short films tonight.

(And them vote for MIM Films "2-2-2-9" as the best of...I'm in that one :-) )

So the short of it:
What: The 48 Hour Film Project Screening
When- Thurs Jun 26 Group A- 7:00pm
Fri June 27 Group B- 7:00pm
Where: The Portage Theater- 4050 W Milwaukee- Chicago, Il 60601
How Much: 10.00- CASH ONLY Tickets go on Sale 1 hour prior to the screening.

enviedbybullets @ 02:49 pm: Moving back to Chicago come July. . .
and I've been searching, and searching, and searching, and searching for a production house that is hiring. I just graduated with a BA in Cinema and Digital Arts from Point Park University so I have really been looking online because I know how much businesses hate "Job Calls". Anyway. . .does anyone know any projects that are coming to Chicago this summer that would need help or is there a main Chicago Film Office that I could call that would give me an idea? Depending on the project, I would be willing to do unpaid work (dude, it's experience) but I can't go all my life being unpaid help of course. Yeah sorry in advance for a kind of ridiculous post but I am kind of just reaching out to all areas.

CineKink is seeking films and videos, of any length and genre, that explore and celebrate the wide diversity of sexuality. Scheduled for its fifth annual appearance February 26-March 2, 2008, the specially-curated CineKink NYC will also feature a short film competition, audience choice awards, presentations, parties and a gala kick-off, with a national screening tour to follow
